Danmarks Radio originally broadcasted the TV show to Danish TV viewers in the years 1978-1981, but Matador is still being rebroadcast today. The idea came from Lise Nørgaard and Erik Balling delivered it. Over time, Matador has become the collective narrative of Denmark in the time before and during World War II. This book contains 40 new interviews with the people in front of and behind the camera, newspaper articles, archive material and correspondence told by Christian Monggaard and Jacob Wendt Jensen. You will get new insight into how Denmark's favorite TV series was created.
